AFRIKA WA YESU MINISTRY TEAM - RUNNING THE RACE

Hebrews 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”

A multi national, multi-gifted power team affecting the nation through teaching, preaching, evangelism, raising up national leaders, training seminars in local churches, childrens’ ministry, church planting, dental and health care famine and emergency relief.

The staff at Afrika Wa Yesu (Africa for Jesus in the local Sena language) team is made up of people from no less than six nations:

1.  Zimbabwe: Rod and Ellie Hein, founders of the ministry. They ministered in Mozambique during its civil war, and continued on after the signing of the Peace Accord in Rome in 1992.

2. Mozambique: Director of the Bible School and church planting - Pastor Armando Jo, with his wife Lurdes, and children, Deborah, Simona and Bene. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 1999.

 

3. United States: directors of Nacala Discipleship School and Ambassador Project, Jeff and Nicole Reetz, joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2000.

4. United States: Vice President of Afrika wa Yesu, Aaron Rissler and his wife Patricia, from Brazil, Academic Dean with their daughter Keren. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2000.

5. Zimbabwe: directors of Vocational Training School, Nacala, Northern Mozambique, Chris and Deborah (nee Hein) Maas, with children Gabriel, Ashira and Mikayla. Joined Afriak wa Yesu in 2005.

6. Bible School Teachers:

Brazil: Inhaminga Bible school teachers, Diogo and Leidy Pinto. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2008.

 

Brazil: Inhaminga Bible school teacher Jeosafá Vasconcelos Ferreira.Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2008.

 

Brazil: Nacala Bible school teacher and administrative assistant, hospitality. Dora Felix. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2007.

 

Brazil: Nacala Bible school teacher, Teacher Training and Mentoring, Susana Walker. Joined Afrika wa Yesus in 2002.

 

Mozambique: Inhaminga Bible School teacher, Dean of Campus Affairs, Mariano Nota with his wife, Graça and son, Ezequias.

7. Romania: director of Youth Evangelism, Simona Caba, joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2004.

8. Mozambique: Dean of Administration, head of workers and grounds, Inhaminga, Lino Gravata, with his wife Telvina and son Josué. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2001.

9. United States: Christa Hyde, personal assistant and Children's Ministry, evangelism. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2006.


10. Malawi: Pastor, Church of Disciples, Rodgers Alufazema

11. Mozambique: Bruno Lionel Beckham. Bruno came to live at Afrika wa Yesu in 2004. He is a great football player and helps with youth ministry.

12. Mozambique: Cassale Antonia Gravata

13. Mozambique: Coordinator of Evangelists, Jorge Assane and his wife Gelsina. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2005.

14. Mozambique: Dean of Students, administrator, teacher, Nacala. Agostinho Lisboa. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2003.

15. Romania: Dental, Drs. Cristi and Monica Osan with their son, David. Joined Afrika wa Yesu in 2009.
